GPS-Photo Link ArcView 8.x/9.x Extension

This extension for ArcView 8.x/9.x will allow the hot linking of photos, automatically loading background images (aerial photos and topo maps), loading photos as layers. This runs in ArcMap 8.x and 9.x. See ArcView Ricoh Extension for help on using Ricoh photos in ArcView.

Installing and using the GPS-Photo Link ArcView 8.x/9.x extension.

The ArcView 8.x/9.x extension will be installed during the installation procedure.

Using the extension.

A new "GPS-Photo Link" toolbar will be available in ArcView 8.x, with two tool buttons, View Picture and Setup. If the toolbar is not visible, select "Tools" then "Customize" from the ArcMap menu, and select "GPS-Photo Link".

Add the shape file with the photo information as a theme to a view. Click Add Data, then locate the GPS-Photo Link file "picture.shp" in the directory under the Photo Root Folder, which defaults to \Program Files\GPS-Photo Link\Photos.

Select the GPS-Photo Link tool (Camera icon).

Hover over a point, and the thumbnail photo will popup (must have "Web Pages (HTML)" selected as file output in GPS-Photo Link).

Click on a point in the picture.shp theme, the watermarked photo will then be displayed.

Right-click on a point in the picture.shp theme, and a popup menu will appear :
