Time Sync

Instructions
Matching the digital photos to the GPS location is done by first synchronizing the Camera and GPS time.
Choose the method of time synchronization.
"Use photo of the GPS receiver" lets you view a photo of the GPS screen to enter the time shown.
"Manually enter GPS-Camera time" if you know the difference between the Camera time and GPS time.
Click Next to go to the next screen.
Options
- Method of Time Synchronization
- Use photo of the GPS receiver - Select this option to synchronize the Camera's time to the GPS time
- Manually enter GPS - Camera time
- If the Camera's time was set to exactly GPS time, enter 0 for offset
- If the time offset was calculated another way, enter the offset here.
- Use GPS Position only if within XX seconds - Select to limit the time difference between the camera and the GPS
- Only GPS locations logged near the photo time will be used.
- If unchecked, the nearest track log point will be used, regardless of how large the time difference.
- Matching - Select the method to match photo data to the GPS points:
- Match to closest GPS point - Matches the photo time to the nearest GPS point, whether it is before or after the photo was taken.
- Interpolate between closest track points - This option will compute the position of the photo by interpolating between the two track logs points closest to the photo time.
- Match to closest point BEFORE photo - Matches to the closest GPS point that occurred before the photo was taken.
- Match to closest point AFTER photo - Matches to the closest GPS point that occurred after the photo was taken.
